Uganda Tourist Visa – Single Entry

The Uganda Tourist Visa (Single Entry) is issued to travelers visiting Uganda for tourism, medical treatment, business meetings, studies, or family visits.

·       Visa validity: Up to 3 months

·       Authorization validity: Visa approval is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Travelers must enter Uganda within this period or reapply.

·       Application mode: Exclusively through the official Uganda Immigration Online Portal.

Visa Fees

·       Single Entry Visa: USD 50 (non-refundable, exclusive of bank charges).

·       All documents must be in English or officially translated.

How to Apply – Step by Step

1.       Log in to the Uganda Immigration Portal

2.       Start a new application and accept the disclaimer

3.       Select visa type and category

4.       Fill out the online application form

5.       Upload required documents (an application ID is generated)

6.       Make payment (if required upfront)

7.       Receive Visa Approval Letter by email once approved

8.       Present approval letter, passport, Yellow Fever certificate, and payment receipt upon arrival for biometric capture and visa issuance

Visa Renewal / Extension

The initial visa period can be extended for up to 60 days, in two intervals, online or at the Immigration Headquarters and Regional Offices.
